Kids poems about the sun.
Hello,dear readers!
Today I want us to read some poems about
the Sun.
Summer, Songs and the Sun - all these words begin with S and mean the same: happiness!
These easy and funny poems can be used by primary school teachers for summer parties (more resources you can find here and here), or just for teaching little kids in your family circle.
Here they are:
The Sun
Don't you think the sun is bright?
I wonder where it goes at night?
Does it sleep or does it hide?
Or is the moon its other side?
Does it hide behind the hills?
Late at night as outside chills?
Do you think it needs to rest?
From all that warming it does best?
Could it even have a home?
Maybe in London or even in Rome?
Or does it just float around?
Moving slowly from town to town?
Yes, I think it must do that!
After all the earth's not flat.
So the sun goes round and round
Spreading sunshine on the ground!

GOOD MORNING MR SUN
Good morning, Mr Sun!
Our day has just begun,
We love to see your shining face.
Good morning, Mr Sun!
Summer sun in the sky
Shining, shining up so high
Makes it warm for outside fun
To play at the park and run
To swim, hike, and fish
And go on a picnic, if you wish!
