ESL reading for kids : My Family

The 15th of May is the International Family Day. 

Today I'd like you to  read these sweet poems and sing a song about family with your kids and young pupils.
Let's read ,sing,  enjoy!

My House

Here are the windows,

Here is the door.

Come on in, I'll show you more.

Here is the kitchen, the living room too.

A bathroom, three bedrooms, and a room for you!

An attic, a chimney, and a roof above.

And my house is a home,

'Cause it's filled with love!

Me

I have 10 little fingers

And 10 little toes,

2 little arms,

And 1 little nose.

1 little mouth,

And 2 little ears,

2 little eyes

For smiles and for tears.

1 little head

And 2 little feet,

1 little chin -

That's me!

I'm complete.

Families

Some families are large. (spread arms out wide)

Some families are small (bring arms close together)

But I love my family (cross arms over chest) best of all! 

This is my Family 

 This is my mother, kind and dear.

(make a fist and point to your thumb)

This is the father sitting near.

(shown each finger in turn)

This is the brother strong and tall.

This is the sister, who plays with her ball.

This is the baby. littlest of all.

See my whole family large and small

(wiggle all the fingers)

 To begin with, it is the smallest house in the Lane. And besides that, it is the only one that is rather dilapidated and needs a coat of paint.
